Longines Watch

Production of the first Longines movement began in 1867 and their international acclaim soon followed. In 1885 they won 10 "Grand Prix" and 28 "Medailles d'Or" awards, a record that has never been equaled by any other watch manufacturer.

When watches migrated from waistcoat to wrist, Longines watches was the first to mechanically produce a wristwatch in 1905. Over the years they became renowned through high-profile personas: When Charles A. Lindbergh made the first non-stop transatlantic flight from New York to Paris in 1927, he was timed by Longines. In 1932 Amelia Earhart became the first female pilot to fly from Newfoundland to Ireland and was equipped with a Longines.

In 2001 Longines celebrated their 30 Millionth watch. Never modified, continually used, constantly updated, the world's oldest registered brand name in watchmaking with its winged hourglass logo continues to produce luxury watches that highlight their belief in the importance of time and the truth that "Elegance is an Attitude."
